Payment guidelines

The Financial Agreement Contract, which must be signed upon enrollment, details the below and all other policies regarding payment. It also informs the parents that they are responsible for any costs incurred.

  • Tuition is payable either on a monthly (the 1st of each month), or bi-monthly basis (the 1st and 15th of each month). Payment schedules must be pre-arranged with the Director. If the 1st falls on a weekend, tuition will be processed the following Monday.
  • Tuition not received by the 10th will receive an automatic late fee of $25. Tuition still not paid by the 20th will receive an additional $25 late fee. Unpaid tuition may result in suspension of childcare services.
  • All payments are processed through Procare Tuition Express. We accept Visa and Mastercard, as well as EFT from your bank account. There will be a 3% fee charged for card use. We strongly encourage EFT payments so that you may avoid additional fees. Please see the director for any other questions regarding payment options.
  • A $35.00 fee will be charged for any payment transactions that are returned unpaid.
  • Full time tuition pays for your child to attend MOCCDC up to 45 hours per week. Any children using over 45 hours per week will be charged $4.00 for every 15 additional minutes or $16.00 per hour.

Our current wait list projections:

Priority for enrolling children and families from the wait list is as follows:

  1. Staff children
  2. Siblings of currently enrolled students
  3. Children of Church members
  4. Public: First-Come, First Served from date added to the waiting list. (Priority is given to families who are actively checking in with us regularly)
  • Due to high demand, our Infant and Toddler room wait lists are currently closed.
  • Our Two Year Old class has a wait of 1 year
  • Our Preschool class has a wait of 1 year
  • Our Pre-Kindergarten class has a wait of 1 year
  • Our After-school program is full for the 2022-2023 school year. We will enroll for the 2024-2025 school year beginning in April 2024.

A tour of the facility is required to join our waiting list, as well as a $50 fee. Once a spot has been offered, there is a $200 registration fee per child. Families have seven days to accept or decline a spot in the program once offered. If the spot is declined but the family wishes to remain on the waitlist, they will be re-added to the list on that date. This may lower their position on the list and a spot opening at a later day may not be guaranteed. If you wish to be removed from the waitlist, please contact us via phone or email.

Frequently Asked Questions

what are your prices?

See Tuition for our current pricing options (NOTE: there is no part-time option for infant and toddler care).

WHAT IS YOUR CURRICULUM?

Our qualified teachers create a tailored curriculum for their classroom that includes art, math, science, gross and fine motor skills, social skills, and Christian learning. Teachers base their curriculum on their students academic levels, abilities, and interests. We use Zoo-phonics to teach literacy. Zoo-phonics is a unique program that involves the whole child; eyes, ears, mouth, mind and body. It uses endearing animals (visual learning), hand and body motions (kinesthetic learning), sounds and songs (auditory learning), letter shapes (visual learning), as well as games and activities. Learn more about Zoo-phonics here. We use Group Publishing Simply Loved Christian Curriculum for Bible learning.

WHAT DOES IS MEAN THAT YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN CHILDCARE?

Mount Olympus Christian Child Development Center operates as a ministry of Mt. Olympus Presbyterian Church. We feature a non-denominational approach to child care that includes Bible stories, Christian songs, and prayer at meal times. We value the love of Christ, teach the Golden Rule (do unto others as you would have them do unto you) and never use shame as any part of our approach toward child care or spirituality. We are open to the community and members of all faiths and levels of spirituality.

WHAT IS YOUR AVAILABILITY?

Our availability varies throughout the year. If there are no current openings, you may be added to the waiting list. We ask that you tour our center before joining. That way, we are able to ensure that we are the right fit for your family. There is a $50 fee to join our waiting list, and a $200 enrollment fee per child once a spot has been given to a family. You can learn more about enrollment and the waiting list here.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE A TOUR?

Tours are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.m. by appointment only. If you are unable to make it during that time, special arrangements can be made. You can schedule a tour online.

HOW ARE CLASSROOMS DIVIDED?

We accept children as young as six weeks old and up to 11 years old. Classrooms are divided as follows: Infants (6wk-12m), Toddlers (12m-24m), Two's, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Afterschool care. We generally transition classrooms at the end of each May. Our goal is to keep children with the kids they will go to Kindergarten with, so they will not necessarily move classrooms immediately after their birthday. Because of this, tuition will be based on the classroom that they are enrolled in, not their age.

WHAT TRAINING IS REQUIRED FOR YOUR TEACHERS?

Many of our teachers have either a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a Child Development Associate's (CDA). The State of Utah requires our teachers to attend 20 hours of continuing education in the field every year. We often host continuing education training events at Mount Olympus Christian Child Development Center and pay for our teachers to attend continuing education classes. All of our teachers and employees are required to be first aid and CPR certified as well.

WHAT IS YOUR STAFF TURNOVER?

Mount Olympus Christian Child Development Center prides itself on its teacher longevity. Many of our teachers have worked with us for over five years. We provide a happy and healthy work environment for teachers by creating a good work culture, offering competitive/livable wages, and providing support for staff to grow professionally.

Notice of nondiscrimination

Mount Olympus Christian Child Development Center admits children of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to children at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, and other school-administered programs.
